The River House 1.25 km from Galle Road, Balapitiya down Uthamaghana Mawatha, is the Picturesque River House located in 7 acres of land and overlooking the Madu Ganga.   • Take a boat ride and watch the village unfold along the banks.

  • Visit the local markets and antique shops. You will find the famous devil masks in the souvenir shops in the area.
  • Have a day on the beach.
  • Go surfing/snorkelling/diving in Hikkaduwa

  • Note however though that it is about 1.25 km off the main road, so you can't venture to the town easily…and a walk (unless you are a health and fitness freak) is not recommended in the Sri Lankan heat!
