Rekawa - රැකව
Located almost 10kms east of Tangalle, Rekawa is a fishing village with mesmerizing beaches on one end and a swampy lagoon on the other. Home to various types of aquatic life, Rekawa is a nesting hub for turtles. Rare species like hawksbill, leatherback, Olive Ridley and Green turtles choose shores scattered along this beach strip, owing to its less crowded sites and human interruption.
