Polonnaruwa - පොළොන්නරුව
Polonnaruwa: Polonnaruwa was the island’s second ancient capital. The city’s ruins date back to the 12th Century AD, a period in Sri Lanka’s history which saw the rise of Buddhist monasteries and monuments built by King Parakramabahu I.
